Independent product ecosystem
Flockara.
One workflow. Two focused products.
What it does
A connected product ecosystem that helps people discover relevant jobs, create honest role-specific resumes, and manage the application journey.
Why it matters
Job searching is already fragmented. Carrying context from discovery to application makes the next step easier.
What I owned
I designed the product direction, shared identity, service boundaries, and self-hosted delivery across both applications.
Conceptual architecture illustration. No production account or client data.
From the idea to the interface

01 / THE PROBLEM
Start with the constraint.
Job discovery and resume preparation often become disconnected tasks. I built Flockara around the handoff between them: find a relevant opportunity, carry the context forward, and prepare an application without starting over.
I kept discovery and tailoring as distinct products with a shared direction. Job Portal owns retrieval and local matching. Tailorbird owns document generation, paid model calls, and application preparation. Shared identity ties the experience together.
02 / THE ARCHITECTURE
Under the hood.
- 01Shared Flockara account
- 02Job Portal · discover & assess
- 03Tailorbird · tailor & validate
- 04Application workspace
A simplified view of the boundaries I designed.
03 / ENGINEERING DECISIONS
The details that matter.
A boundary with a purpose
I kept local matching separate from model generation. Job Portal can assess resume evidence on its own; Tailorbird owns the paid calls and their cost controls.
A gradual integration
I chose an incremental rollout for shared fit intelligence: local assessment first, then selective AI verification for the jobs that matter. The newer v2 integration is in admin preview while that boundary is validated.
Own the whole lifecycle
I define the workflow and acceptance criteria, use Claude Code to accelerate implementation, then review, debug, validate, deploy, and iterate.
04 / TESTING & DELIVERY
Make the result accountable.
I built the account and application handoff around explicit boundaries, with identity and workspace tests covering how context moves between the products.
I used Claude Code to accelerate implementation while owning the requirements, architecture, prompt and context design, debugging, acceptance criteria, validation, and release decisions.
05 / OUTCOME & LESSON
A product family works when context moves between tools without erasing the useful boundaries between them.
Two focused products under one umbrella, with a clear separation between job discovery and resume preparation.
